DAY 01 :

SINGAPORE - BANGKOK

Check-in at Changi International Airport for Thai Airways International flight to Bangkok city.

Upon arrival Bangkok City , you will be greet by our local representative and transfer to the hotel.

Overnight at Asia Hotel or similar.

 

 

 

DAY 02 :

BANGKOK - PARO

( --/L/D )

 

Rise early and check out of hotel.

Transfer to the airport, check-in for schedule Druk Air flight to Paro – the capital of Bhutan via Calcutta .

If the weather is clear, we can have a glorious views of the snow capped Himalayas .

Druk Air flies over eight of the ten tallest peaks of the world including Mt. Everest and Kanchenjunga .

Upon arrival Paro , after immigration and custom clearance greet by Uma Paro Resort staff and transfer to the resort. We invite you for a short guided walk in the afternoon in and around Uma Paro for orientation and acclimatisation purposes.

Overnight in Uma Paro Resort (*****).

 

 

 

DAY 03 :

PARO - FULL DAY EXCURSION

( B/L/D)

 

Daywalk Zurig Dzong and Ta Dzong Wind through pine forests past the tiny monastery of Gemjola high above Uma Paro to a pretty picnic spot in grounds of the fortress-like monastery of Zuri Dzong.

Traverse across to Ta Dzong, housing Bhutan 's National Museum (open six days a week) with magnificent views over Paro, and on to Rinpung Dzong. The trail then leads across the Paro Chhu (river) via a traditional covered bridge (Nyamai Zam) and into Paro town.

Duration: 5 - 7 hours (depending on time spent in National Museum and Paro).

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate. Guided with picnic lunch.

DAY 04 :

PARO - FULL DAY EXCURSION

( B/L/D )

 

Breakfast in the hotel.

Drugkyel Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang & Taktsang Walk Drive 17km to Drukgyul Dzong, built in 1644 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to control the northern route to Tibet . The route is picturesque, and the site of the dzong magnificent (from here, it is only a two-day hike to the Tibetan border, dominated by Mt Jhomalhari). Return to a peaceful orchard for a picnic lunch directly opposite Taktsang Monastery (The Tiger's Nest).

We make a two-hour climb to a viewpoint, descend steeply, then climb up to the monastery, passing a waterfall and make a monastery visit, if open. We then retrace our steps or, time permitting, head further up to several remote dzongs.

Difficulty: Moderate to Hard (ascent should not to be attempted until at least third day in Bhutan , to allow some acclimatization). Duration: 7 – 8 hours Guided with picnic lunch.

DAY 05 :

PARO Q BANGKOK Q SINGAPORE

Breakfast in the hotel.

After breakfast, check out of resort and transfer to the airport for check-in.

Departure on Druk Air flight in the early morning to avoid adverse weather conditions so your transfer to the airport will normally be arranged for between 6 – 8am depending on the flight schedule.

The flight will depart Paro for Bangkok city via Calcutta .

Upon arrival Bangkok , proceed to the transit counter to check in for Thai Airways International flight bound for Singapore .

Your arrival into Singapore brings home wonderful memories of your Bhutan holiday.
